The Supplier Registry
One word is used precisely on this site, and this is the page that owns it.
§ 1What verification means here
Verification means a consent-based examination of a specific supplier, carried out with that supplier’s participation: documents provided and checked, sanctions and adverse-media screening run and logged, corporate records examined, and where the engagement calls for it, a site visit made by a person.
It produces a documented file with a date and a scope, and it says what was checked and what was not.
§ 2What it does not mean
Satellite work is measurement. It is never verification, and the two are not combined into a single claim. Nothing observed from orbit verifies a company, and no phrase on this site suggests otherwise.
- It is not a credit opinion, a rating, or a recommendation to transact.
- It is not a guarantee of future conduct, and it does not transfer your own due-diligence obligation to us.
- It is not a determination that a transaction is lawful in your jurisdiction. See the compliance posture.
- It is not a covert investigation. A subject always knows it is happening, because it cannot happen without them.
§ 3Consent
- No supplier is examined without its written consent, recorded before any file is opened.
- The consent states the scope, what will be collected, who will see it, how long it is kept, and what publication, if any, follows.
- Consent can be withdrawn. A withdrawn subject is removed from the register, and we say that the entry was withdrawn rather than deleting it as though it never existed.
- A subject sees the file that concerns it, including anything adverse, and may respond on the record before it is finalised.
§ 4Fees
Flat, published, and the same for everyone. The fee pays for the work of checking and not for an outcome: a subject that does not pass is told so and has paid for that answer. There are no success fees, no commissions and no brokerage of any kind — see independence.
The schedule is not published yet because the service is not open. It will appear here as numbers, before the first engagement, not on request.
§ 5Status
The registry is not open and is not accepting subjects. It opens only after the research product is publishing and the process above has been tested end to end, because a register that begins before the standard is settled cannot be corrected backwards.
- To be told when it opens, or to ask what an engagement would cover, use enquiries and choose the registry path.
